Silk Scarf Eucaliptos and iron
Silk Scarf Eucaliptos and iron
Dyed with a natural plant print technique to create a unique print on silk, this scarf is a one-of-a-kind piece.
Shibori in Japanese means: twist, squeeze, press, tie, and it is a very old technique where certain areas of the fabric are "blocked" to prevent them from being dyed. This blocking can be done in different ways: knotting, tying, shirring, folding, rolling, pressing or sewing the fabric, each technique given a different name.
Nature is a wonderful source of dyes. This scarf I have used eucaliptos and iron.
Perfect to use as a neckerchief, or as a bandana to decorate your hair, or just hanging in your bag.
Technique: Arashi / Shibori - Hand painted with natural dyes and mordants Colors used: shades of gray Silk quality: Habotai 08 Measures: 55x55cm Hand rolled hem
